CHARITABLE AIMS
The Song School’s charitable aim is to level access to music making for all children and young people regardless of circumstances, so all can experience the benefits associated with learning and playing music such as enhanced confidence, self-esteem, improved mental wellbeing and academic aspirations.
We have built a community of children & young people bonded by a shared interest in music who attend our central Southend studios through our regular weekly timetable and/or holiday workshop programme. Our programmes address a number of social challenges currently faced by young people.
Huge disparities in participation in extra-curricular activities exist depending on social background
