New team members

We’ve had a very busy month or so at The Song School, with Easter Workshops, multiple bank holidays and the departure of our drum coach Jess. The latter means changes have been afoot at The Song School and we are delighted to welcome three new coaches to the team. Read on for all the details:

James Khan joins us on drums and guitars. a professional musician from Essex, with over 30 years’ experience playing in a variety of bands and music projects. James replaces Jess as our new drum coach and will also be supporting in our increasingly popular guitar classes.

We are also welcoming Trigger Bliss to the Saturday coaching team. Trigger Bliss is a multi creative who uses spoken word as an avenue to connect to the individual, to inspire healing, conscious thought, and conversation. As an artist in her own right, Trigger has performed at events such as Time 2 Shine hosted by CEO of the South Essex African Caribbean Association, Hamlet Court Road in Harmony Festival, and Stand Up for Diversity hosted by Essex Cultural Diversity Project, amongst others. Trigger will be joining us on the team for our Saturday Music School to support our songwriters with their ideas and lyrics.

It has always been an aim at The Song School to provide routes to working in industry for students who want to explore music as a career. This began with Heidi who went from student to coach, before she went on to sign her first recording deal, earlier this year. As part of this journey, we’re delighted to announce that Flo Evans is joining us on the coaching team, also supporting our Saturday Music School. Flo joined the student mentor team last September and has displayed excellent leadership skills, organisation, quick thinking and all alongside a natural ability to mentor children and young people.

We’re overjoyed to be adding all these excellent people to the team to help us continue the evolution of The Song School.
