Book a rehearsal studio - FREE for young people (16-21)

No fees, no barriers, just young people making music, building community and preparing for futures in Southend’s thriving music scene.

  • Choose from our largest room; bookable as ‘The BIG room’ (we know, original!)

    Or,

    The Mezz, on our Mezzanine floor (another ingenious name!)

  • The BIG Room is equipped with a 16 channel digital PA, full drum kit, including cymbals, breakables, amps, mics and all the leads you need.

    The room can accommodate most set-ups, and has housed a 10-piece band setup.

  • The Mezz is equipped with a 4 channel PA, full drum kit, including breakables, amps, mics and all the leads you need!

    Suitable for small band, up to a 5 piece, solo/acoustic set-ups and it’s also a great writing room.

  • We can provide drums, keys, amps, leads, mics. We also have some guitars, available upon request.

    Simply tell us what you need when you book!

  • Simply use the booking form below. You’ll be asked to book on behalf of your party, so you will need names of everyone involved. We need this information so we know who is in the building for health and safety.

    When you book, you’ll be the lead booker for your group. That just means you’re our main point of contact on the day, and you’ll help us keep everyone signed in and safe. We recommend reading the booking terms thoroughly so you are aware of your responsibilities as the lead booker.

  • There’s a spot on the booking form to tell us everything you need.

  • Someone will be at the door to meet you, sign you in and provide you with the any equipment you’ve requested.

    You will then be escorted to your room.

    All of this will only happen once the lead booker has arrived.

The Song School rehearsal and recording spaces are now available to book, free of charge, for young people ages 16-21.
