We’re excited to announce the return of Sound Waves - a project shaped by our young people’s creativity and now reborn, including a new gig - at The Fickle Pickle!

What’s new about Sound Waves?
Sound Waves is evolving into a songwriting lab - focussed on mentorship, collaboration and performance - taking a focussed look at developing songwriting skills at all levels.

Who can take part?

Vocalists, instrumentalists, and singer/songwriters of all experience levels are welcome. We’ll be working in three groups:

Ages 11–13

Ages 14+

Young Musicians 16+

What’s Involved?

• Workshops: taking place in both February half-term (18th & 20th Feb) and Easter Holidays (30th & 31st March).

• Special Guests & Unique Experiences: We’ll soon reveal guest singer/songwriters who will lead sessions and inspire participants. Plus, there’s an exclusive offsite visit for a select group - details coming soon!

• Collaboration: Perfect for beginners, bands, and anyone interested in co-writing. We’ll be encouraging teamwork, building confidence, and creating community through music.

• Live Acoustic Night: The project will culminate in a special performance at The Fickle Pickle on Wednesday 1st April, giving everyone the chance to share their original music on stage.

  As always, it’s FREE to take part for those who are financially supported at The Song School.
  For everyone else, the cost is £90 - this includes all workshops, the gig, plus two tickets for the performance. The fee can be paid in instalments or in full - just let us know on sign up by emailing the office at hello@thesongschool.co.uk.
