These FREE holiday music workshops are supported by Music on Sea via the Arts Council and are suitable for beginners.
What is The Beat LAB?
The Beat LAB will introduce the skills required for the modern day drummer!
This one day workshop, will introduce complete beginners to rhythm, in a fun, supportive group environment. Participants will build musical skills (timing, coordination and listening), while developing confidence, communication & teamwork. Open to all, and designed to be supportive for neurodivergent young people, through predictable routines, clear roles, repetition and a calm, welcoming space.
Structure of the day:
10am: arrival and group workshop
12pm - 1pm: Lunch (which will be provided)
1pm - 3pm: 2nd group workshop
Workshops will include a drumming circle and introduction to supportive technologies such as beat-making and DJ skills.
Who is the workshop for?
The workshop is for anyone ages 7-10, interested in drumming and technology.
