Sales & Marketing Executive
Job Title: Sales and Marketing Executive/Full time (£23,400 +OTE)
Location: Southend on sea
Disclosure: Enhanced DBS
Reporting to: Studio Manager
Hours: Monday - Friday, 12pm - 6pm OR 2pm - 8pm. Some weeks you may be required to work at weekends or late nights to cover events, performances or other initiatives. You will be entitled to a day in lieu to cover these times.
About The Song School: The Song School is a nonprofit - building community through music making in Southend-on-Sea. We offer music programmes for children and young people regardless of their circumstances, including weekly sessions in instruments, vocals, songwriting, production, and performance. Our mission is to ensure every young person can access quality music education experiences through our Song School Fund and community partnerships.
The Role
We're seeking a driven Sales and Marketing Executive who shares our passion for social impact while delivering strong commercial results. You'll be instrumental in growing our revenue streams and expanding our community reach, helping us to support more children and young people through the power of music.
Key Responsibilities
Supported by an incredibly passionate team, all of whom are fully committed to our mission, you will be responsible for;
driving revenue growth across multiple channels (Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, LinkedIn, TikTok, Email Marketing)
developing and executing campaigns that balance commercial objectives with our social mission and engage and build our audiences
delivering, marketing and coordinating events including member showcases, fundraisers such as The Estuary Walk & Quiz Night, and more
identifying, developing and launching new revenue streams to market
building and maintaining partnerships with community organisations and stakeholders; both external and internal to support delivery of all of the above
supporting community growth initiatives while meeting quarterly revenue targets
creating compelling content that showcases our impact and attracts new students and supporters
managing advertising and marketing budget, including IT software solutions that support delivery
Essential Requirements
Completed marketing apprenticeship OR equivalent
Minimum 18 months digital marketing experience
Strong commercial acumen with proven goal-oriented approach
Genuine interest in social mission and community impact work
Experience with social media marketing and paid advertising
Event coordination and delivery experience
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience using design packages like Canva and CRM technologies
Interest in music
