Building Brighter Futures - Introducing our Youth Mentor team

It's Youth Work Week, and we can't think of a better time to introduce you to The Song School Youth Mentor Team!

This year's theme is 'Building Brighter Futures'—and that's exactly what our Youth Mentors are here to do, for themselves and their younger peers.

From this half-term onwards, you'll find them supporting their younger peers in our regular music sessions - Guitar, Piano, Vocals, Music Production, Songwriting, and Band.

The Youth Mentor Programme is here to:

  • Develop employability skills

  • Build confidence and leadership

  • Nurture the next generation of music coaches

  • Enhance music skills for everyone - mentors included

  • Keep youth voice at the heart of everything we do

  • Pass on The Song School ethos to the next generation

These amazing young people have already completed a rigorous application process and training sessions ahead of their launch this week. As they guide and inspire younger members, they'll be developing invaluable skills and experience that will shape their own futures in the music industry.

Our Youth Mentors are part of a wider programme exploring Youth Careers in Music, proudly supported by Youth Music.
