Volunteer Handy Person
Help transformation of our music school for the children and young people of Southend.
The Song School is a nonprofit music community for children and young people, based in the heart of Southend. We have a regular weekly timetable of music classes for ages 5 - young adult, with the express aim of providing a facility that can be accessed by all children and young people, regardless of circumstance.
We’re currently seeking a Volunteer Handy Person to help with our odd jobs such as putting up shelves, brackets, painting and repairs. As a volunteer, you will become a valued member of our community and gain experience working around families, children and young people.
Skills required
Handy with a drill and the ability to put up pictures, shelves, etc… (Tools will be provided).
Ability to touch up paintwork etc.
No issues getting up a ladder!
Commitment
One day per month (times and days are flexible to fit in around the volunteer's wishes and schedule).
All roles at The Song School require references and an enhanced DBS check - we can carry out the latter checks for you if you are not currently registered on the DBS update service.
